Overview

The ESP32-S3-ETH is an Ethernet development board built around the ESP32-S3R8 chip, combining Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and wired Ethernet in one board. A board-mounted W5500 Ethernet chip delivers 10/100Mbps wired networking over SPI, and the PoE version adds IEEE 802.3af-compliant Power over Ethernet, so the board can run on a single Ethernet cable with no separate power supply needed.

It’s built on the dual-core Xtensa LX7 processor running up to 240MHz, with 8MB PSRAM and 16MB Flash onboard. A camera interface supports OV2640/OV5640 modules for vision projects, and a Micro SD card slot and Pico-compatible header add storage and expansion options. Programming and power are handled over a USB Type-C interface, and the board is rated for a -40°C to +85°C operating range, making it suitable for outdoor or industrial installs.
