Overview
Skip the Wi-Fi dropouts and wall adapters. The T-Internet-POE is an ESP32 development board with a built-in LAN8720 Ethernet transceiver and an onboard Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) module, so a single Ethernet cable delivers both a stable wired connection and power (36V–57V input) to the board.
That makes it a strong hardware base for anything that needs to be always on and always reachable — a Home Assistant or ESPHome node, a wired sensor hub, a gate or door controller, or any custom smart home build where Wi-Fi reception or spare power sockets are a problem. It still carries Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE onboard too, so you’re never locked into wired-only.
Flashing and debugging are handled over USB Type-C, with a TF card slot for local storage/logging and RST/BOOT buttons for easy firmware work. It’s compatible with the Arduino IDE, PlatformIO, and ESPHome, with sample code available from LilyGO’s GitHub.
Note: a PoE-capable network switch or injector is required to power the board over Ethernet — this is not included.
