Overview
Shelly BLU Motion is a Bluetooth Low Energy motion sensor designed for instant motion detection and long-term battery operation. It delivers fast, reliable motion alerts and includes an integrated LUX sensor for brightness-aware automations, making it suitable for security, lighting control, and presence-based scenarios.
The device communicates over Bluetooth (BTHome) and does not require a hub for protocol-level operation, but a compatible Shelly gateway is required to use it with the Shelly Smart Control app and for cloud or cross-device automations. Supported gateways include Shelly BLU Gateway and Shelly Plus, Pro, or Gen3 devices (excluding sensors). Its compact, adhesive-mounted design allows flexible placement with minimal installation effort.
